ABOUT SHADES OF GREEN
In 1983 Shades of Green was established by Michael Matheson as a small interior plant company. As his business grew, the request for Holiday Decor grew as well. In 1996, Michael's wife, Zoe decided to follow her passion of design and create a branch of Shades of Green to fulfill the endless requests for Christmas Decor. It started off with small businesses providing mainly trees and wreaths homemade at their Occidental residence. Zoe's elf Alyssa (I mean daughter) was her right hand girl. As Alyssa grew older, her passion for decor grew immensely. In 2005, Alyssa was ready to spread her wings and the business became hers. Since then, Shades of Green quickly outgrew their humble headquarters as we moved from strictly small-town, municipality work to large interior mall and downtown projects. After years of steady growth Shades of Green is now a premier provider of decorative services with a portfolio spanning projects of all sizes around the North Bay, San Francisco and Silicon Valley. We continue, however, to retain the values of a family business that pours the same level of energy and passion into each project that we did on day one.

We pride ourselves in the organized non-obtrusive way in which we orchestrate the installation and take-down. The flurry of activity in our workshop by our holiday elves during the summer months completes much of the job prior to the holiday rush.
